--Garden Reach, Det Norske Veritas ink MoU to focus on warship, shipbuilding 

--Garden Reach, Damen Tech sign MoU to make dredgers for Indian customers 

NEW DELHI – Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. has signed separate memorandums of understanding with Det Norske Veritas and Damen Technical Cooperation B.V., Netherlands, to strengthen its capabilities in advanced shipbuilding and explore dredger construction, the company said in an exchange filing Thursday.

The memorandums of understanding with Det Norske Veritas will combine the company's expertise in warship design, shipbuilding, and marine engineering with Det Norske Veritas's capabilities in classification, certification, technical assurance, digitalisation, sustainability, and maritime advisory services. The collaboration will focus on advanced warships and specialised vessels, green shipping, digital shipbuilding, artificial intelligence, and Industry 4.0, as well as skill development and knowledge exchange. 

Separately, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Damen Technical Cooperation to establish a technical and business collaboration framework for exploring the design and construction of advanced dredgers in India. The partnership will leverage Damen's expertise in trailing suction hopper dredgers and water injection dredgers. The collaboration with Damen will also cover technology transfer, joint design and construction proposals, development of indigenous dredger-building capabilities, and long-term cooperation for future dredging requirements. "The partnership builds on the existing collaboration between GRSE (Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers) and Damen, including the 1,000 m³ (cubic meters) dredger currently under construction for the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA)," the company said in the exchange filing. 

For the June quarter, the company's net profit was INR 1.73 billion on revenues of INR 18.15 billion. At 1011 IST, shares of the company traded 1.2% higher at INR 2,523.80 per share on the National Stock Exchange.    End
