MUMBAI – Coal India Ltd. Tuesday reported it had offered 21.07 million tonnes through Single Window Mode Agnostic electronic auction in August. This is down 16% from 25.19 million tonnes offered in July. The company allocated 8.28 million tonnes in August, down more than 1% from 8.40 million allocated in the previous month.
So far in this financial year till August, the company has put 129.17 million tonnes on offer and allocated 47.74 million tonnes through e-auctions. Tuesday, shares of Coal India ended at INR 401.60 on the National Stock Exchange, largely flat against Monday's close. The company had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 88.52 billion for the June quarter on revenues of INR 462.55 billion. End
