MUMBAI – Tata Consumer Products Ltd. Tuesday acquired 5% stake more in Capital Foods Pvt. Ltd. from Wildflower Pvt. Trust, according to an exchange filing. With this, the fast-moving consumer goods company's total holding in the Capital Foods increased to 80%.

This is part of a phased buyout plan that started on January 2024 when Tata Consumer had announced the acquisition of Capital Foods Pvt. Ltd. at an enterprise value of INR 51 billion. Tata Consumer had acquired 75% stake in Capital Foods back in 2024 itself and had planned to buy the remaining 25% stake in three years.

For the June quarter, Tata Consumer Products had reported consolidated net profit of INR 4.36 billion on revenues of INR 53.49 billion. Tuesday, its shares closed at INR 1,030.50 on the National Stock Exchange, slightly down from Monday.  End
