HYDERABAD - Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. sold 67,753 cars to dealerships in India and abroad in August, up 56% from 43,315 units a year ago, the company said in a press release Tuesday. The bulk of the company's August sales continues to come from despatches in India. Domestic wholesale sales of its passenger vehicles surged 59% to 62,253 units. The company's total sales of electric vehicles surged 94% to 16,549 units, while exports rose 8% at 2,500 units.

 

For the June quarter, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles had reported consolidated net profit of INR 7.75 billion on revenues of INR 957.99 billion. At 1404 IST, its shares traded at INR 310.80 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.6% from Monday.  End
