NEW DELHI – India's services trade surplus narrowed slightly to $17.65 billion in July from $17.89 billion in June, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India Monday. The surplus fell from the previous month as services imports rose to a record high even as exports rose to a four-month high.

 

Services exports increased 13.4% on year to $38.25 billion in July, while services imports rose 19.1% on year to $20.61 billion during the month. The central bank releases provisional monthly data on India's services trade. The data is revised when the balance-of-payments data are released quarterly. 

In June, services exports and imports were at $36.37 billion and $18.48 billion, respectively. In the first four months of 2026-27 (Apr-Mar), services exports have grown 10.5% to $145 billion while services imports have risen 12.5% to $75.14 billion.  End
