MUMBAI – Oil India Ltd.'s subsidiary Oil Green Energy Ltd. signed memoranda of understanding with Haryana government to build four integrated compressed biogas and waste-to-clean-energy projects. These projects will be done across Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, and Ambala.

 

Gurugram cluster to have capacity of 2,000 tonnes per day and Faridabad to have capacity of 1,600 tonnes per day. Ambala and Hisar to have capacity of 900 tonnes per day and 500 tonnes per day, respectively. These four clusters to produce 70-75 compressed biogas per day along with 50 megawatt of green power. "The projects envisage an integrated waste processing and resource-recovery approach, wherein municipal solid waste will undergo scientific pre-processing and segregation to maximise resource recovery," the filing said.

 

For the quarter ended June, Oil India reported a net profit of INR 28.70 billion on revenues of INR 79.58 billion. Friday, shares of the company closed at INR 482.85 on the National Stock Exchange, up nearly 3% from Thursday.  End
