MUMBAI – India's bank loan growth slowed to 18.3% on year as on Aug. 15 from a 26-month high of 19.3% as on Jul. 31, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India Friday. Banks' loans fell INR 706.39 billion in the first half of August to INR 220.08 trillion, the data showed.
Bank deposits declined INR 65.34 billion over the fortnight to INR 269.31 trillion as on Aug. 15. The annualised deposit growth also fell to 14.7% from a 15.4% growth as on Jul. 31. End
