MUMBAI - TVS Motor Co. Ltd. Friday said K.N. Radhakrishnan will step down as its chief executive officer in January, having held the post since October 2018. The automaker's board has named Peyman Kargar, currently the president of TVS Motor's international business, as Radhakrishnan's successor.

After he steps down, Radhakrishnan will serve as a non-executive director until July, when it will hold its annual general meeting. Radhakrishnan has served as TVS Motor's executive vice president since 2004 and was named its president in 2008.

"It has been a privilege to serve TVS Motor Company as CEO and work alongside an exceptional team. I am grateful for the support, commitment and dedication of colleagues across the business, whose efforts have shaped the company that we are today," Radhakrishnan said in a press release.

Upcoming chief Kargar has held key positions at automotive companies for over three decades in geographies such as Europe, Asia, and West Asia. "Building on our momentum, we are entering into a new phase of growth, expanding our presence and further consolidating our position in India and global markets," Kargar said. He was named head of global operations only in April 2025. Before that, he was the global chairman and president of Nissan's luxury brand Infiniti.

"Peyman is an accomplished global leader with deep industry experience, strategic vision and a strong understanding of customers and markets," TVS Motor Chairman Sudarshan Venu said. "As President, International Business, he has already made a meaningful contribution to our business, and I am confident he is the right person to lead TVS Motor Company and further strengthen our position among the world's leading mobility companies," Venu said.
