MUMBAI – Ennature Bio Pharma Ltd. and IGL Spirits Ltd., the companies resulting from the demerger of the biopharma operations and spirits and biofuel business of India Glycols Ltd., will be included in the Nifty Microcap 250, Nifty Smallcap 500, Nifty Total Market, and Nifty Sugar & Ethanol indices effective Sept. 2, NSE Indices Ltd., a subsidiary of the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd., said Wednesday in a press release.

This follows NSE's circular Tuesday announcing that a special pre-open session will be conducted for India Glycols on Sept. 2 in the cash market segment. India Glycols is currently part of the same four indices where the two spun-off companies from the demerger will be included.

The index provider further said the index inclusions of Ennature Bio and IGL Spirits will be with equal weights "at zero price without divisor adjustment". As per the methodology used by NSE Indices in the treatment of demerger cases, a spun-off company is included in the relevant indices at a price that is calculated as the difference between the demerged company's closing price on the trading day prior to the ex-demerger date and the price derived for the demerged company at the pre-open session on the ex-demerger date.

But the inclusion of the spun-off company in the index is temporary, as per the index methodology. The spun-off company is required to be removed from the index a few days after inclusion.

Wednesday, shares of India Glycols ended at INR 1,190.50 on the National Stock Exchange, up 1.7% from closing price Tuesday.  End
