--UCO Bank: Govt extends ED Saboo's additional charge as MD, CEO for 3 mos 

 

NEW DELHI – The government has extended Rajendra Kumar Saboo's additional charge as UCO Bank managing director and chief executive officer by three months till Nov. 30, the bank informed exchanges Tuesday. Saboo's term has been extended up to Nov. 30, or until the appointment of a regular incumbent, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, the bank said. 

 

Saboo, currently an executive director in UCO Bank, was given the additional charge of MD and CEO on Jun. 19 following the retirement of Ashwani Kumar on May 31. Saboo has served as an executive director at UCO Bank since November 2022. Before joining UCO Bank, Saboo was the chief general manager in Punjab National Bank, heading strategic management, economic advisory, and data analytics.

 

For the June quarter, the state-owned lender had reported a net profit of INR 6.56 billion on total income of INR 86.82 billion. Tuesday, the bank's shares closed at INR 26.05 on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.6% from the previous close.  End
