Hyundai Motor, Jio-bp in pact to integrate, boost EV charging network

MUMBAI – Hyundai Motor India Ltd. Tuesday said it is partnering with Jio-bp, the operating brand of Reliance BP Mobility Ltd., to integrate its electric vehicle charging networks. The partnership will see integration of over 7,000 Jio-bp pulse charging points, lifting Hyundai Motor's ecosystem to over 37,000 charging points.
"Jio-bp's high-capacity DC (direct current) fast chargers, ranging from 60 kilowatts to 480 kW, enable EVs to charge at their maximum hardware capability," the carmaker said in a statement. These charging points can be accessed by the myHyundai application. All Hyundai Motor-owned fast chargers, including the 183 current operational stations and future installations, will soon be available on the Jio-bp pulse charge application. The carmaker plans to expand its proprietary fast charging network to 600 stations by 2030 from 183 currently.
For the June quarter, Hyundai Motor reported a consolidated net profit of INR 8.89 billion on revenues of INR 163.35 billion. At 1526 IST, its shares traded 1% higher at INR 2,230.30 on the National Stock Exchange. End
