Coal India incorporates arm in Singapore for critical minerals opportunities

NEW DELHI – Coal India Ltd. Monday said it had incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore to explore and develop overseas opportunities in the field of critical minerals asset acquisition. The subsidiary, CIL Global Pte. Ltd., will also enable an efficient management of overseas investments, and provide structural flexibility for future acquisitions, the company said in an exchange filing. 

 

One Singapore dollar per share for 500,000 shares is the price at which the shares have been subscribed, as per the exchange filing. The company will require approvals from the Ministry of Coal and Department of Investment and Public Asset Management for the incorporation, the exchange filing said.  

 

For the June quarter, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 88.52 billion on revenues of INR 462.55 billion. Shares of the company closed 0.4% higher at INR 406.90 on the National Stock Exchange. End
