BLS Intl denies role in visa fraud probed by Spain

--BLS Intl: Reject any involvement in alleged visa issuance irregularities
MUMBAI - BLS International Services Ltd. Monday rejected any involvement in the allegations related to visa irregularities referred to in media reports. There is no evidence establishing any wrongdoings by the company or its employees in relation to visa issuance, according to an exchange filing. The company's role is strictly administrative, and all decisions related to the processing of visas are with the relevant authorities, the company said.
Earlier, multiple reports alleged that the company was involved in a probe by the Spanish National Court into alleged links to a visa fraud network at the Spanish consulate in Algiers. The Spanish court specified that "processing platforms like BLS" fell into the purview of its investigation into collaborating companies, according to The Economic Times.
For the June quarter, BLS International Services had reported consolidated net profit of INR 1.9 billion on revenues of INR 8.91 billion. At 1329 IST, shares of the company traded at INR 241.21 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, around 11% lower than Friday. End
