--S&P assigns 'BBB-' rating to IDFC FIRST Bk's $600 mln senior notes
NEW DELHI – S&P Global Ratings Friday assigned a 'BBB-' long-term issue rating to IDFC FIRST Bank's $600-million senior unsecured notes due 2029, the lender informed exchanges. The bank had issued the notes from its International Financial Services Centre banking unit in Gujarat.
The rating is consistent with IDFC FIRST Bank's credit rating of 'BBB-' with a 'stable' outlook. "This reflects our expectation that the notes will always rank equally with all of the bank's other senior unsecured obligations," the rating agency said.
For the June quarter, IDFC FIRST Bank reported a net profit of INR 10.75 billion on total income of INR 133.61 billion. On Friday, the bank's shares ended at INR 86.75 on the National Stock Exchange, up 1.1% from the previous close. End
