--Welspun Corp wins INR 172-bln order to supply pipes from mfg unit in US 

 

MUMBAI – Welspun Corp Ltd. said it has won an INR-172-billion ($1.8 billion) order to supply pipes from its manufacturing unit in the US. The order is scheduled to be executed between 2027-28 (Apr-Mar) and FY29, the company said in an exchange filing late Thursday. The order has increased the company's global order book to a record INR 421 billion, according to the exchange filing.

 

The company termed the order as the largest single order in its history. At 0907 IST, the company's shares were at INR 2,009.10 on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.2% from the previous close. For the June quarter, Welspun Corp reported a consolidated net profit of INR 10.46 billion on revenues of INR 40.81 billion.  End
