NEW DELHI – Karur Vysya Bank will raise its marginal cost of funds-based lending rates by 5–25 basis points across tenures, the lender said in an exchange filing Thursday. The new rates will be effective from Saturday.
The revised MCLR for the bank now ranges from 9.00% to 9.40% for overnight to one-year tenures.
The Reserve Bank of India's norms require banks to review the MCLR monthly. The RBI's Monetary Policy Committee earlier this month left the repo rate unchanged at 5.25%.
For the June quarter, the lender reported a net profit of INR 7.56 billion on total income of INR 34.91 billion. On Thursday, shares of the bank ended at INR 334.10 on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.9% from the previous close.
The bank's marginal cost of funds-based lending rates for various tenures are as follows:
| Tenure | Revised rate (%) | Previous rate (%) |
| Overnight | 9.00 | 8.85 |
| One month | 9.00 | 8.75 |
| Three-month | 9.15 | 8.95 |
