Damage due to Sanand floods seen up to INR 400 mln, says Tata Motors PV

MUMBAI – Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. Thursday said operations at its plants in Gujarat's Sanand and at its suppliers' units there have been restored, after having been disrupted by floods due to heavy rainfall in late July. The company expects the damage due to these floods to be between INR 350 million and INR 400 million, for which it will lodge an insurance claim.
"Once the flood water receded, all necessary steps were taken to restore normal operations in the Plant. The disruption has no material impact on the operations and/or financials of the Company," the Sierra maker said in an exchange filing.
For the June quarter, it had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 7.75 billion on revenue of INR 957.99 billion. Thursday, its shares ended 0.3% lower at INR 320.25 on the National Stock Exchange. End
