--Power Grid appoints Amol Babulal Taori as CFO
MUMBAI – Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd. Thursday said its board has appointed Amol Babulal Taori as the company's chief financial officer, replacing Venkata Subrahamanayam Vallurie. Taori will also replace Yatindra Dwivedi as the director of finance, the company said in an exchange filing.
Taori, a chartered accountant, will hold the post for five years from Thursday or until further orders. He previously held posts at Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd., where he managed among India's largest corporate treasuries for over a decade. Taori conceptualised the oil bond swap that facilitated HPCL's first foreign currency swaps and revolving line of credit.
For the June quarter, Power Grid had reported a net profit of INR 34.11 billion on revenues of INR 97.95 billion. At 1400 IST, its shares traded almost a percent higher at INR 266 on the National Stock Exchange. End
