MUMBAI – TVS Motor Co. Ltd. Friday said it has launched its electric two-wheeler Orbiter in Sri Lanka, a country which has one of the highest penetration rates of electric two-wheelers globally. The Orbiter caters to the urban commuter segment, with features such as hill hold assist, cruise control, and parking assist, the company said in an exchange filing.

 

TVS Motor had previously launched the TVS iQube in Sri Lanka. Thursday, TVS Motor also launched its electric three-wheeler King Max in Sri Lanka.

 

"Beyond launching a compelling product, we are investing in a comprehensive ecosystem that includes extensive sales reach, reliable after-sales support, readily available spare parts, and trained EV specialists," the Chief Executive Officer of TVS Lanka Geethal Anthony said in a statement. "Our goal is to ensure that customers across Sri Lanka enjoy not only easy access to the TVS Orbiter but also a best-in-class ownership experience throughout their EV journey."

 

The company reported a net profit of INR 11.74 billion in the June quarter on revenues of INR 138.96 billion. Friday, the company's shares ended 0.8% lower at INR 4,307 on the National Stock Exchange.   End
