--TVS Motor launches 3-wheeler TVS King EV MAX in Sri Lanka
NEW DELHI – TVS Motor Ltd. Thursday said it has launched connected passenger electric three-wheeler TVS King EV MAX in Sri Lanka. Three-wheelers play a vital role for Sri Lanka's urban mobility, livelihoods, tourism, and last-mile connectivity, the company said in an exchange filing.
"Sri Lanka represents a highly relevant market for the next phase of electric three-wheeler adoption, driven by growing demand for efficient, reliable, and economically viable mobility solutions...We are equally focused on building a robust ownership ecosystem through strong after-sales support, service readiness, spare parts availability, and customer assurance, enabling long-term confidence in electric mobility," Geethal Anthony, Chief Executive officer, TVS Lanka, said in a statement.
The electric three-wheeler is equipped with a 51.2 volt lithium-ion lithium iron phosphate battery, as per the exchange filing. "The vehicle has been rigorously tested under Sri Lankan operating conditions, giving us strong confidence in its suitability for the market and its ability to meet the evolving needs and expectations of discerning customers of Sri Lanka," the companu said in the exchange filing.
The company reported a net profit of INR 11.74 billion on revenues of INR 138.96 billion for the June quarter. Thursday, shares of the company closed 0.8% lower at INR 4342.20 on the National Stock Exchange. End
