HYDERABAD/MUMBAI – Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. is expecting 20% year-on-year growth in revenues from its hospitals business for the financial year 2026-27 (Apr-Mar) aided by a ramping up of existing hospitals, opening of new hospitals, and improved footfalls by international patients along with increased high-value treatments across categories, the company told analysts in a post-earnings conference call.

Apollo Hospitals is confident of continued growth in the hospitals business beyond FY27, aided by expanded capacities across regions. The company is expecting its existing hospitals to see 13-14% year-on-year growth in revenues for the next 24 months, while new hospitals contribute an additional 7% growth on a sustainable basis.

Late Wednesday, Apollo Hospitals reported a consolidated net profit of INR 5.81 billion for the June quarter, up over 34% on year and above the Street's expectation of INR 5.58 billion. Revenues rose nearly 21% on year to INR 70.44 billion, well above analysts' consensus estimate of INR 68.94 billion, marking the highest revenue growth in 13 quarters. Sequentially, the net profit increased nearly 10% while revenues rose 6.6%.

Apollo Hospitals said the company has set itself the goal of reaching a total bed capacity of 14,100 by FY31. The company wants to open new hospitals in the northern and western parts of India, while it will be mostly brownfield expansion in its existing units in South India. The company wants to fund its expansion plan through internal accruals and have a comfortable debt position on its balance sheet.

Apollo Hospitals said it has raised prices by around 4% in the June quarter and expects an average increase of 5% in the hospitals business every year.

In international business, Apollo Hospitals said it has witnessed significant improvement in patient inflows from Bangladesh. Inflows are back to 60-70% of what they used to be in peak season. Patients from Bangladesh are mostly those requiring more complex, high-value treatment, the company said.

Apollo Hospitals said it expects its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation margin to be at the current level for the next 24 months. For the June quarter, Apollo Hospitals reported its consolidated EBITDA margin at 15.5%. The company expects its diagnostics business to double its revenue over the same period. The company is targeting an EBITDA margin of 20% in the diagnostics segment in the next 6-8 quarters. Currently, the margin is 14%.

Thursday, shares of Apollo Hospitals ended almost flat from Wednesday at INR 8,600 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
