NEW DELHI – Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Wednesday said Mahindra University and Mahindra Educational Institutions have received an endowment contribution of 867,027 equity shares of the company worth INR 3 billion from Anand Mahindra and his family.

Mahindra University received 650,270 shares, representing 0.05% of the company's total voting share capital, while Mahindra Educational Institutions received 216,757 shares, or 0.02%. "In aggregate, the contribution comprises 8,67,027 equity shares, representing 0.07% of M&M's total voting share capital," the company said in an exchange filing.

 

The latest contribution is valued at approximately INR 3 billion and, together with earlier contributions, fulfils the pledge of INR 5 billion made by the automobile tycoon and his family in March 2024. "The contribution is an endowment contribution made without consideration and no proceeds will accrue to Mrs Anuradha Mahindra and Mr Anand Mahindra in connection with it," the company said.

 

For the June quarter, Mahindra & Mahindra reported a net profit of INR 36.85 billion on revenues of INR 419.59 billion. Wednesday, its shares ended at INR 3,403.6 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, down 1.6% from Tuesday.  End
