India July CPI inflation 4.45% vs 4.38% in June

NEW DELHI – The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation on Wednesday released the latest inflation data based on the new CPI series, which has 2024 as the base year. The earlier series had 2012 as the base year for calculating price changes.
LATEST: The general CPI index was 107.94 in July, 0.9% higher than 107.0 in June. Inflation in July was 4.45%, up from 4.38% in June.
NEXT UPDATE: The government will detail CPI data for August on Sept. 14.
