MUMBAI - Ashoka Buildcon Ltd. Tuesday posted a 17% on-year fall in its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation for the June quarter to INR 1.26 billion. The infrastructure company's EBITDA margin for the June quarter contracted 180 basis points on year to 9.5%. 

 

The company's EBITDA and EBITDA margin fell sharply on year even as it posted a 3% on-year growth in its bottom line to INR 315.37 million. However, the company's revenues for Apr-Jun fell 2% on year to INR 12.88 billion.

 

As of Jun. 30, the company's order book stood at INR 152.51 billion with the road engineering, procurement, and construction segment accounting for nearly 45% of the orders. The state government was the company's biggest client, accounting for nearly 56% of the orders. 

 

Tuesday, shares of the company closed at INR 116.99, down nearly 1% from Monday on the National Stock Exchange.  End
