NEW DELHI – JSW Steel Ltd. Monday said its consolidated crude steel production in July grew 3% on year to 2.40 million tonnes. The company's crude steel production in India rose 4% on year to 2.34 million tonnes, the company said in an exchange filing. Crude steel production at the compan's Ohio plant in the US declined 13% on year to 63,000 tonnes during the month, the company said.

 

Capacity utilisation for the Indian operations was at 87% in July, and Blast Furnace 3 at the Vijaynagar plant is operating at above 80% of its rated capacity, the company said. 

 

For the June quarter, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 46.51 billion on revenues of INR 473.64 billion. Monday, shares of the company closed 0.2% higher at INR 1,302 on the National Stock Exchange. End
