JSW Energy adds 1.17 GW renewable energy capacity, total portfolio at 15 GW

MUMBAI – JSW Energy Ltd. Monday said it has added 1.17 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity and 300 megawatts of inorganic thermal capacity since April. Post this, the company's total installed capacity stands at 14.92 gigawatts, according to the exchange filing. 

 

JSW Energy's installed capacity for renewable energy accounts for more than 60% of its total capacity, comprising 3.12 GW of wind energy, 2.36 GW of solar energy, 1.70 GW of hybrid and 1.78 GW of hydroelectric capacity. The company has 13.5 GW of capacity under construction across thermal, hydro and renewables and a launch pipeline of 4 GW. The company said it is on track to hit the 3 GW greenfield capacity addition aim by 2026-27 (Apr-Mar), as per the filing. 

 

The company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 4.71 billion on revenue of INR 52.07 billion for the June quarter. Shares of JSW Energy ended Monday at INR 578 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, up over 2% from the closing price Friday.  End
