NEW DELHI – Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd. is expected to report a marginal decline in consolidated net profit for the June quarter. Margins are likely to be impacted by higher freight costs amid the war in West Asia. Revenues, however, are expected to rise on higher fluoropolymer volumes and elevated R-32 prices.

The company is expected to report a consolidated net profit of INR 1.75 billion, down nearly 5% from a year ago, according to the average of estimates from six brokerages. Revenues are expected to rise nearly 20% on year to INR 15.31 billion. Sequentially, net profit is expected to rise over 52% and revenues are expected to rise nearly 12%.

The highest estimate for net profit is INR 1.90 billion from JM Financial Institutional Securities Pvt. Ltd. and the lowest is INR 1.43 billion from Prabhudas Lilladher Pvt. Ltd. For revenues, the highest estimate is INR 16.82 billion from ICICI Securities Ltd. and the lowest is INR 14 billion from Nuvama Wealth Management Ltd.

The expected decline in net profit is primarily due to disruptions caused by the war in West Asia, which led to an increase in freight costs, lengthened transit times, and disrupted supply chains, prompting customers to delay orders and restock inventory, according to Prabhudas Lilladher.

The rise in revenues will be driven by a sharp increase in fluorochemicals sales due to higher R32 volumes and healthy growth in fluoropolymer sales, according to ICICI Securities. "Gujarat Fluorochemicals is benefiting from elevated R32 prices and improved offtakes," JM Financial said.

Sequentially, the profit is expected to recover on better fluoropolymer volumes and pricing, while contribution from battery chemicals is expected to improve only in the second half of the financial year 2026-27 (Apr-Mar), according to Nuvama.

Gujarat Fluorochemicals' earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation are expected to increase over 9% on year to INR 3.76 billion, based on estimates from five brokerages. The highest estimate for EBITDA is INR 4.09 billion from ICICI Securities and the lowest is INR 3.44 billion from Prabhudas Lilladher.

Gujarat Fluorochemicals will announce its results Wednesday. At 1422 IST, shares of the company traded at INR 4,473.50 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.9%. The shares are up over 18% since the company reported its March quarter results.

Out of the eight brokerage reports on the company available with Informist, four have a "buy" recommendation on the stock with an average target price of INR 4,246 per share. This is over 5% higher than the current market price. One brokerage has a "hold" recommendation on the stock with a target price of INR 3,920. Three brokerages have a "sell" recommendation with an average target price of INR 3,616.
