MUMBAI/NEW DELHI – Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. is likely to report a moderate year-on-year rise in its standalone top line and bottom line for the June quarter, according to the brokerages tracking the company. A ramp-up in deliveries of advanced light helicopter Mark-3 to the Indian Coast Guard, and healthy execution of the order book are expected to lift the company's earnings for the reporting quarter.

The company's net profit is expected to rise over 10% on year to INR 15.22 billion, according to the average of estimates from nine brokerages. The highest net profit estimate is INR 17.40 billion from ICICI Securities Ltd. and the lowest is INR 14.11 billion from Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers Ltd. If realised, this is likely to be the fourth consecutive quarter of an on-year increase in net profit.

HAL's revenue from operations is expected to rise nearly 12% on year to INR 53.92 billion, according to the estimates. The highest estimate is INR 65.06 billion from ICICI Securities and the lowest is INR 51.47 billion from Prabhudas Lilladher Pvt. Ltd. If realised, the company will report the highest on-year rise in revenues in five quarters.

The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation are expected to be INR 14.09 billion, according to the average of seven estimates. The highest EBITDA estimate is INR 16.73 billion from ICICI Securities and the lowest is INR 13.37 billion from Nuvama Wealth Management Ltd. Nomura Equity Research expects the company's order inflow at INR 60 billion for the quarter.

Hindustan Aeronautics will announce its June quarter earnings Wednesday. Analysts will watch out for management commentary on ramp-up in deliveries of light combat aircraft Tejas in the September quarter, contingent on timely supplies of engines from US manufacturer General Electric.

Friday, shares of the company closed 0.2% lower at INR 4,910 on the National Stock Exchange. This was nearly 7% higher since May 14 when the company announced its March quarter earnings.

All 12 brokerages reports on the company available with Informist have a "buy" recommendation on the stock with an average target price of INR 5,294 per share. This is nearly 8% higher than the current share price.
