--L&T classifies orders worth INR 50 bln - INR 100 bln as 'major'
MUMBAI – Larsen & Toubro Ltd. Friday said its vertical L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore has received "major" orders from the Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd. for a pipeline replacement project and well head platforms off India's west coast. L&T classifies orders worth INR 50 billion to INR 100 billion as "major" orders.
The pipeline replacement project includes engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of several subsea pipeline segments, along with associated modification works across ONGC's offshore fields, according to a press release. The other project involves work on four well head platforms.
Larsen & Toubro reported a consolidated net profit of INR 41.23 billion for the June quarter on revenues of INR 679.42 billion. ONGC reported a net profit of INR 170.34 billion for the June quarter on revenues of INR 464.60 billion.
At 1341 IST, shares of L&T traded at INR 4,051 on the National Stock Exchange, 0.3% lower than Thursday. ONGC's shares were largely unchanged at INR 237.76. End
