MUMBAI – Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd. Thursday said it will spend INR 2.94 billion to set up a 66 million bulk litres per annum dual-mode distillery in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. The company plans to set this up by the first quarter of the financial year 2028-29 (Apr-Mar), according to an exchange filing. The new distillery is expected to improve margins and strengthen supply security.


The company will also spend INR 2.02 billion to build a new fully automated bottling unit in Moradabad, which will raise the bottling capacity to 13 million cases per annum from the current six million cases. This is expected to be completed by the third quarter of FY28.

 

The company said it is increasing the bottling capacity in Moradabad to cater to the rising demand in the region. It will refurbish its existing 13 million cases per annum molasses distillery and acquire additional land for the proposed expansion.

 

For the June quarter, the company had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 492.17 million on revenues of INR 18.09 billion. Thursday, shares of Allied Blenders and Distillers ended at INR 605 on the National Stock Exchange, down 1.5% from Wednesday.  End
