MUMBAI – Signatureglobal (India) Ltd. reported a consolidated net loss of INR 165.29 million for the June quarter against a net profit of INR 344.2 million in the year-ago quarter as revenue fell sharply. Analysts had estimated the company to report a net profit in the range of INR 421 million–INR 1.0 billion.
The company's revenue from operations for the June quarter fell 36% to INR 5.52 billion from INR 8.66 billion ayear ago and higher then analysts estimate of it declining in the range of 7-21%.
Signatureglobal's total expenses for the June quarter fell 26% on year to INR 6.33 billion. However, the fall in total expenses insufficient offset the decline in revenue.
The company's average sales realisation for the June quarter stood at INR 17,093 per sq ft, up from INR 15,250 per sq ft it had seen in the year ago period. The company's pre-sales in the June quarter grew 25% sequentially to INR 19.7 billion. The company's mid-income housing sales in the June quarter contributed 55% to the revenue while the affordable housing sales contributed 45%. "Healthy demand, an improved product mix, and higher sales realisations drove strong pre-sales performance (for the June quarter)," Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal, chairman of the company said.
The real estate major's adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation was INR 300 million, down from INR 1.0 billion in the year-ago quarter. The adjusted EBITDA margin for the June quarter was 6.3%, down from 11.6% a year ago. Signatureglobal's net debt as of Jun. 30 was INR 3.9 billion while the cash and bank balances were INR 25.22 billion as of Jun. 30.
Thursday, shares of Signatureglobal closed almost unchanged at INR 815 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. The company's disclosed it's earnings after market hours. End
