--Ola Electric opens its sales, service network to dealers across India
MUMBAI – Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. Thursday said it is opening its sales and service network to dealer partners across India, having sold its two-wheelers through company-owned stores five years since its launch. "As the EV industry has matured and consumer acceptance has grown, the company is now evolving this model. Over the coming months, company stores will transition to focus on brand and product experience, while dealer partners will become the backbone of local sales, service and scale across the country," the company said in an exchange filing.
The company expects "meaningful" on-ground scale for this programme by Diwali this year. Hyundai Motor India Ltd.'s former president B.V.R. Subbu will rejoin Ola Electric as a senior advisor for this endeavour. Subbu was previously on Ola Electric's board.
For the March quarter, Ola Electric had reported a consolidated net loss of INR 5 billion on revenue of INR 2.65 billion. Thursday, its shares ended at INR 41.36 on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.2%. End
