MUMBAI – Siemens Energy India Ltd. is likely to post a significant on-year rise in both its bottom line and top line for the June quarter on the back of strong execution in the power generation and transmission segments. However, on a sequential basis, both the metrics are likely to fall.
Siemens Energy is expected to post a net profit between INR 3.48 billion and INR 3.60 billion for the June quarter, according to estimates from three brokerages. The highest estimate is from HDFC Securities Ltd. and the lowest is from 360 ONE Capital Market Pvt. Ltd. In the corresponding quarter a year ago, Siemens had reported a net profit of INR 2.63 billion. In the trailing quarter, it posted a net profit of INR 3.75 billion.

Siemens Energy has a comprehensive portfolio of products, solutions, and services designed to strengthen and expand grid infrastructure and address the growing demand. It ensures grid stability amid the integration of renewable energy sources, supported by project management hubs.

Prabhudas Lilladher expects the company's EBITDA at INR 4.60 billion for the June quarter, while HDFC Securities expects it at INR 4.7 billion. "EBITDA margin is likely to expand by ~150bps (basis points) YoY (year-on-year) led by favorable revenue mix and lower employee expenses," according to Prabhudas Lilladher.
Siemens Energy will release its June quarter earnings Thursday. Market participants will focus on the management's commentary on the demand outlook for both the transmission and generation portfolios. Commentary on the order pipeline, status of capacity expansion and high voltage direct current pipeline will be key factors to watch, Prabhudas Lilladher said.
