MUMBAI – PB Fintech Ltd. Wednesday posted a robust growth in its consolidated net profit for the June quarter on the back of a strong revenue growth, beating the Street's estimates by a slight margin.
The company's net profit rose 92% on year to INR 1.63 billion from INR 846 million. The consensus estimate for the bottom line was INR 1.50 billion. The company's consolidated revenue from operations rose 40% on year to INR 18.88 billion. The estimate for the top line was INR 18.41 billion.
The company's consolidated earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation was INR 1.39 billion, up 121 % on year from INR 340 million. Its adjusted EBITDA rose to INR 1.86 billion from INR 890 million in the year-ago quarter. The company's consolidated adjusted EBITDA margin was 10% from 7% in the year-ago quarter.
The company's core lending disbursal for the June quarter rose by 33% on year and total lending disbursal for the financial year 2026-27 (Apr-Mar) was INR 43.66 billion. The company's total insurance premium rose by 41% on year to INR 83.72 billion.
The company's total insurance premium is led by its new protection premium, which rose by 53% on year and includes health and term insurances. The company's new health insurance also rose 59% on year. The growth in its core new insurance premium is holding strong at 48% year-on-year. Its core new insurance premium, which includes savings, rose 39% on year for the June quarter. "Excluding savings category, we have been growing above 34% YoY (year-on-year) for the last 13 consecutive quarters," PB Fintech said in a press release.
The company reported 31% on-year rise in its insurance premium in UAE for the June quarter, adding that its cross-border health insurance products and claims assurance programme for motor insurance have remained profitable since FY26. The company's core credit revenue for the June quarter rose 25% on year to INR 1.27 billion, with its core credit disbursal and revenue growing for the last four consecutive quarters.
The company's total expenses for the June quarter rose 33% on year to INR 18 billion with nearly 50% on-year increase in its advertising and promotion expenses at INR 3.79 billion. Its network and internet expenses along with the other expenses also rose by 33% and 30% year-on-year, respectively. The company's tax rose by 104% on year and nearly 50% on quarter to INR 157 million.
Wednesday, shares of the company traded more than 2% higher at INR 1,620 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. The company announced its Apr-Jun earnings after market hours. End
