MUMBAI – Amber Enterprises India Ltd. Tuesday said fire at the factory of its material subsidiary IL JIN Electronics (India) Pvt. Ltd. in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida early in the day led to the death of two local fire authority personnel, injuries to three other fire authority personnel, and minor injuries to one personnel from the subsidiary. "Operations in the affected area of the facility have been temporarily impacted. However, operations in the unaffected areas are expected to be restored as soon as practicable," the company said in an exchange filing.

 

The assets at the factory are adequately insured and the company intends to initiate the claim process. "The cause of the fire is under investigation in coordination with the relevant authorities and taking immediate steps to restore normal operations of the affected area of the factory," the company said.

 

Amber Enterprises had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 1.34 billion for the March quarter on revenues of INR 41.48 billion. At 1237 IST, its shares traded 0.2% higher at INR 7,414 on the National Stock Exchange.  End
