Consumer tech, enterprise to drive CE Info's Q1 PAT

MUMBAI – C.E. Info Systems Ltd. is expected to report a sharp rise in its net profit for the June quarter, driven by revenues from the consumer technology and enterprise digital transformation segment and the automotive and mobility technology business, according to brokerages tracking the firm.
The company is expected to report a consolidated net profit of between INR 471 million and INR 587 million, according to the estimates from three brokerages. The highest estimate is from JM Financial Institutional Securities Pvt. Ltd. and the lowest is from Centrum Broking Ltd. At the lower end of the band, the net profit will be 7% lower sequentially but at the upper end it will be around 16% higher than INR 507 million in the March quarter.
The consolidated net sales of C.E Info Systems are seen between INR 1.37 billion and INR 1.56 billion, according to the estimates. The highest estimate is from JM Financial and the lowest is from Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers Ltd. At the lower end of the band, the net sales are expected to be more than 5% lower sequentially and at the upper end sales are likely to be around 8% higher than INR 1.45 billion in the March quarter.
C.E. Info Systems is expected to report double-digit revenue growth sequentially due to a broad-based growth in the company's consumer tech and enterprise digital transformation business and automotive and mobility tech business, according to Anand Rathi and Centrum Broking.
The company's map-led segment is expected to grow 20% on year, according to JM Financial. Its internet of things segment is likely to grow 63% on year, supported by revenue from the company's software as a service segment, the brokerage said.
C.E. Info Systems' earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation for the June quarter are expected to be INR 584 million and INR 705 million, according to estimates from two brokerages. The higher estimate is from JM Financial and the lower is from Centrum Broking. The company's EBITDA margin is expected to contract in the June quarter due to higher cost of content and other expenses, according to Centrum Broking. Anand Rathi expects the margin to remain flat for the year.
C.E. Info Systems Ltd. provides proprietary digital maps as a service, software as a service, and platform as a service product. It also provides advanced digital maps, geospatial software and location-based internet of things technologies. The company will report its June quarter earnings Tuesday. Investors will closely watch for the management's guidance on the business growth and margin outlook.
At 1024 IST, shares of C.E. Info Systems were traded at INR 1,189.40 per share on the National Stock Exchange, marginally down. The stock is up 30% since the company announced its March quarter earnings on May 19.
Both the research reports on the company available with Informist have a "buy" recommendation on the stock with an average target price of INR 1,619 per share, which is 36% higher than the current market price.
