Strong order book to drive GE Vernova's Jun qtr earnings

NEW DELHI – GE Vernova T&D India Ltd. is expected to report a year-on-year rise in its top line and bottom line for the June quarter, according to the brokerages tracking the company. This growth is likely to be driven by healthy execution of the order book, sustained demand momentum in base business and exports, analysts said.
The company's net profit is expected at INR 3.42 billion, up over 17% on year, according to the average of estimates from four brokerages. The highest net profit estimate of INR 3.7 billion is from IDBI Capital Market Services Ltd. and the lowest estimate of INR 3.28 billion is from Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd.
The net sales of the company are expected to rise over 32% on year to INR 17.60 billion, according to the brokerages' estimates. The highest net sales estimate of INR 19.42 billion is from IDBI Capital Market Services, and the lowest estimate of INR 16.68 billion is from Motilal Oswal Financial Services.
IDBI Capital Market Services expects revenue to grow owing to sustained demand momentum in base business and exports. Motilal Oswal Financial Services expects revenue to rise on healthy execution of the order book. The brokerage expects the order book at INR 215 billion.
The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation are expected at INR 4.51 billion. The highest EBITDA estimate of INR 4.86 billion is from IDBI Capital Market Services, and the lowest is INR 4.34 billion from Motilal Oswal Financial Services. IDBI Capital Market Services expects margins to come in at 25% on year.
Motilal Oswal Financial Services expects the order book at INR 215 billion. The company will announce June quarter results on Wednesday. Analysts will watch the management's comments on updates on high voltage direct current projects and data centre-related opportunities.
Monday, shares of the company closed 1% higher at INR 4,370 on the National Stock Exchange. This is over 1% lower than level the stock was on May 18, when the company announced the March quarter earnings.
Of the 10 brokerage reports on the company available with Informist, nine have given a ‘buy' recommendation with an average target price of INR 5,003 per share on the National Stock Exchange. This is nearly 16% higher than the current share price. One has a 'hold' recommendation with a target price of INR 4,850.
