MUMBAI – Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. sold 63,760 cars to dealerships in India and abroad in July, up 59% on year. This is the highest number of cars sold by the company in 2026. 

 

The bulk of its sales continues to come from despatches in India. Domestic wholesale sales of its passenger vehicles surged a healthy 58% on year to 62,611 units. Exports of its cars grew 76% to 1,149 units. Wholesale sales of Tata Motors PV's electric cars doubled to a record high 15,217 units in July from 7,124 units a year ago.   

 

For the March quarter, Tata Motors PV had reported a consolidated net profit of INR 57.83 billion on revenue of INR 1.05 trillion. Friday, its shares closed nearly 2% higher at INR 339.75 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.   End
