India's GST collections rise 15.4% YoY to INR 2.11 tln in July

NEW DELHI – India's goods and services tax collection was up 15.4% at INR 2.112 trillion in July, government data released Saturday showed. On a month-on-month basis, July's GST collection was over 8% higher. In June, the government had collected INR 1.948 trillion.
Domestic GST revenue during July grew 10.1% on year to INR 1.446 trillion, the release said. Import revenue rose 28.8% on year to INR 665.11 billion.
Net of refunds GST revenue rose 15.8% on year to INR 1.812 trillion in July. Refunds during the month increased by 13.1% on year to INR 299.68 billion. The post-settlement revenue of states was INR 972.70 billion in July, up 13% on year.
Central GST collection in July was INR 398.35 billion, up from INR 354.70 billion a year ago. State GST collection last month was INR 478.81 billion, up from INR 440.59 billion collected in July 2025. Integrated GST mop-up was INR 1.235 trillion, up from INR 1.035 billion a year ago.
The government's GST collection in 2026-27 (Apr-Mar) is projected to grow 6.3% on year according to the Union Budget for FY27. Collectively, in the first three months of FY27, GST collections grew 10% to INR 8.429 trillion. End
