MUMBAI – One 97 Communications Ltd. Wednesday said it has launched Paytm Split Bills on its mobile application ahead of Friendship Day. The feature is designed for college students, Gen Z, and young professionals to manage shared spending across road trips, birthday celebrations, weekend brunches, movie nights, online food orders, shopping, and other group plans, the company said in an exchange filing.
"Shared moments should be remembered, not spent calculating who owes whom. Paytm Split Bills gives friends a simple way to manage group expenses and settle dues through Paytm UPI, while helping us build Paytm as a financial life app for India," Paytm spokesperson was quoted as saying in a press release.
Wednesday, shares of One 97 Communications closed nearly 2% higher at INR 1,330 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. For the June quarter, the company had posted a net profit of INR 2.20 billion on revenue of INR 24.48 billion. End
