MUMBAI - Global Health Ltd. is expected to post healthy revenue growth for the June quarter, driven by ongoing capacity additions and rising patient volumes, according to brokerages tracking the company. The company's robust performance from mature hospitals and a rise in average revenue per occupied bed will support its revenue growth in the quarter.

The healthcare provider is expected to post a net profit of INR 1.54 billion for the June quarter, up 10% on year and up almost 7% on quarter, according to the average of estimates from eight brokerages. The highest estimate for Global Health's net profit is INR 1.75 billion from Axis Securities Ltd. and the lowest is INR 1.37 billion from Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers Ltd.

The company's net sales are estimated to be nearly INR 12 billion for the reporting quarter, up 16% on year and up 3% on quarter. The highest estimate for the company's net sales is INR 12.76 billion from JM Financial Institutional Securities Pvt. Ltd. and the lowest is INR 11.63 billion from ICICI Securities Ltd.

Global Health's revenue growth is likely to be led by improved patient volumes in the older hospitals, healthy year-on-year growth in the Lucknow and Patna facilities, and the ramp-up of the second Ranchi facility and the Noida facility, Kotak Securities Ltd. said.

The healthcare provider's developing portfolio is expected to rise 34% on year, which will outpace the mature hospitals' estimated increase of 8% on year, Emkay Global said. The company's mature portfolio is likely to see a balanced mix of growth in volume of 6% on year and a rise in average revenue per occupied bed of 3% on year, the brokerage added.

Global Health's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation are expected to be INR 2.63 billion, up 3% on year but down 72% on quarter, according to the average of estimates from seven brokerages. The highest estimate for the healthcare provider's EBITDA is INR 2.86 billion from JM Financial and the lowest is INR 2.48 billion from Kotak.

Emkay Global expects an improvement of 60 basis points on year and 159 bps on quarter in Global Health's EBITDA margin, driving it to 22.6%. The company's EBITDA margin is likely to take a hit owing to the ramp-up of newly commissioned facilities. "The EBITDA loss of the Noida hospital will likely dent margins on a YoY basis, though these losses are expected to be curtailed on a sequential basis," ICICI Securities said.

In the healthcare sector, hospitals are likely to maintain their outperformance with 16% on-year revenue growth, driven by ongoing capacity additions, and improvement in average revenue per occupied bed, Motilal Oswal said. Average revenue per bed is expected to grow 4.5% on year in mature hospitals, while developing hospitals may see stable on year growth in average revenue per occupied bed, the brokerage said.

Global Health Ltd., widely known by its brand Medanta, is one of India's largest private multi-speciality tertiary and quaternary care providers. The company operates a network of hospitals across North and East India with over 3,500 installed beds. The company will announce its earnings Thursday.

Investors will watch for traction and the margin outlook for the Noida hospital, operating costs of the medical college and the hotel near the Gurgaon hospital, and updates on expansion timelines, ICICI Securities said.

All seven brokerage reports on the company available with Informist have a "buy" recommendation on the stock with an average target price of INR 1,464, which is 2% higher than closing price of INR 1432.90 on the National Stock Exchange Wednesday. The stock is up 2% over Tuesday and is up 15% since the company released its March quarter earnings on May 14.
