NEW DELHI – SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd. has launched a co-branded credit card in partnership with Google Pay to make daily transactions simpler for the customers, the non-banking financial company said Wednesday. With the Google Pay Flex SBI Card, customers will have an option to convert their latest outstanding bill into convenient equated monthly installments, SBI Cards said in an exchange filing.
The contactless credit card will also offer instant rewards and seamless account management through the Google Pay app. Customers can available the product on the RuPay and VISA payment networks, offering cardholders the choice to select their preferred payment network, the filing said. These variants can be tokenised on Google Pay for the convenience of tap-to-pay. In addition, the RuPay variant can be linked to Unified Payments Interface, it added.
Wednesday, shares of SBI Cards ended INR 660.50 on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.9% from the previous close. For the June quarter, the company had reported a net profit of INR 6.64 billion on a total income of INR 52.05 billion. End
