--TVS Motor buys 4.4% stake in arm TVS Credit Services for INR 7.11 bln 

 

MUMBAI – TVS Motor Co. Ltd. Monday bought a 4.4% stake in its subsidiary TVS Credit Services for INR 7.11 billion, according to an exchange filing. TVS Motor bought the stake from Lucas-TVS Ltd.      

 

"The acquisition is proposed to consolidate the company's stake in TVS CS (TVS Credit Services) by acquiring the shares held by the other shareholders and is expected to streamline ownership and facilitate operational efficiencies," TVS Motor Co. said in the filing.

 

TVS Credit is a non-deposit-taking non-banking finance company and offers lending products such as automobile finance. It also offers loans for consumer durable products and small businesses. It had reported a total income of INR 71.91 billion in 2025-26 (Apr-Mar) and a net profit of INR 9.13 billion.

 

For the June quarter, TVS Motor reported revenue of INR 138.96 billion and a net profit of INR 11.74 billion. Monday, shares of the company closed at INR 3,876.40 on the National Stock Exchange, up 0.2% from Friday.  End
