MUMBAI - R R Kabel Ltd. is expected to report a strong performance for the June quarter, aided by robust demand in the wires and cables segment, higher commodity-linked realisations, and healthy export growth, according to brokerages tracking the company.
The wire manufacturer is expected to report a consolidated net profit of INR 1.56 billion, according to the average of estimates from four brokerages. This indicates a growth of 74% on year but a 7% sequential decline. The company's consolidated net sales for the quarter are estimated at INR 27.85 billion, up 35% on year but down 6% on quarter, according to the average of estimates.
The highest estimate for R R Kabel's net profit is INR 1.68 billion from JM Financial Institutional Securities Pvt. Ltd. and the lowest is INR 1.41 billion from YES Securities (India) Ltd. The highest estimate for the company's net sales is INR 28.37 billion from Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd. and the lowest is INR 26.43 billion from YES Securities.
R R Kabel's June quarter performance is expected to benefit from higher spending on infrastructure projects, increased investments in power transmission and distribution, sustained activity in the real estate sector, and strong industrial capital expenditure. Additionally, seasonal demand for cooling products supported growth in the broader consumer electrical market during the quarter.
The company's overall volume growth is expected to improve because of higher realisations in the June quarter, according to brokerages. Higher copper and aluminium prices are expected to boost the company's realisations. Exports, which contributed 26% to the company's top line in the financial year 2025-26 (Apr-Mar), are also likely to remain resilient despite some disruption from the war in West Asia. The company's consumer-facing businesses are likely to witness mixed demand trends, such as strong summer-led sales of cooling products, which could offset moderate demand for other fast-moving electrical goods, according to brokerages.
R R Kabel's June quarter earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation are estimated at INR 2.44 billion, flat on year but down 7% sequentially, according to the average of estimates. The highest estimate for the company's EBITDA is INR 2.57 billion from Motilal Oswal and the lowest is INR 2.22 billion from YES Securities.
The company's EBITDA margin is expected to improve year-on-year, driven by a higher contribution from wires and cables, which is a more profitable segment for the company. The margin expansion, along with strong revenue growth, is likely to support robust growth in both the EBITDA and net profit for the quarter. The company is also expected to benefit from easing export-related disruptions as the quarter progressed, YES Securities said.
R R Kabel will detail its June quarter earnings Monday. Investors will monitor the company's commentary on demand trends in the cables and wires segment, export order inflows, and margin sustainability amid commodity price volatility, as well as its guidance on the fast-moving electrical goods business.
Friday, shares of R R Kabel closed at INR 2,493.60 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, up nearly 5% from Thursday. The stock is up 59% since the company detailed its March quarter earnings on Apr. 30.
