Intl Gemological Apr-Jun consol PAT up 31% YoY at INR 1.66 billion

MUMBAI - International Gemological Institute Ltd.'s consolidated net profit for the June quarter jumped 31% on year to INR 1.66 billion. Revenue from operations for the quarter rose 23% to INR 3.71 billion. Sequentially, the net profit fell 7.7%, while revenues rose 0.6%. The company's other income rose to INR 158.4 million from INR 137.01 million in the year-ago quarter.
In Apr-Jun, total expenditure, including finance costs, was INR 1.64 billion compared to INR 1.4 billion a year ago. Finance costs rose to INR 28.79 million from INR 24.53 million a year ago. The company's tax outgo for the June quarter was INR 570.7 million as against INR 484.37 million a year ago. Thursday, shares of International Gemological Institute closed at INR 345.6 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, down 0.8% from Wednesday. End
