Rahul Gandhi slams PM Modi, says "you harmed future of youth the most"

NEW DELHI – Rahul Gandhi, leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Thursday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the latter announced fast-track courts for paper leak cases. "You are the one who has harmed the future of our youth the most," Gandhi said.
In a post on X, in which he quoted Modi's post, Rahul Gandhi said, "You (Modi) allowed and encouraged the total capture and destruction of our education system - and protected every person responsible for it."
The Congress leader reiterated the demands of the agitating students – sack Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, apologise to students, and take action against the police personnel who assaulted students.
Earlier in the day, Modi had announced on social media that the government had decided to set up fast-track courts "to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks...Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students."
The prime minister said that nothing was more important than the "welfare and future of our youth", and those who try to harm their future "will not be spared".
Meanwhile, students continued their protest at Jantar Mantar, with numbers swelling with each passing day since Monday, when police launched a crackdown on protesters at and around the Jantar Mantar protest site. Minor run-ins of the youth with police personnel were reported Wednesday night. End
