NEW DELHI – Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda Wednesday invited the Opposition to hold a detailed discussion on the issue of paper leak and come to a solution, and said the matter should not be politicised. He also questioned as to why the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did not mention the cases of paper leaks done under the watch of state governments run by opposition parties.
"This is a serious issue, it should not be politicised," Nadda said at a press conference. "We should come out of allegations and counter-allegations, and hold a detailed discussion on it. And the place for discussion is Parliament."
He alleged that opposition leaders only wanted to take political mileage of the situation, which was "unfortunate". "Through detailed discussion, we should find out what are the factors behind paper leak, who are the people involved, and how the central government has responded to instances of paper leak...we should find a solution," Nadda said.
He urged the Opposition to "come along" in resolving the issue. "We are ready for discussion. The opposition can decide the duration of the debate. It should come out with a concrete policy," he said. End
