Govt OKs Central Advisory Board for floor wage; labour minister to chair

NEW DELHI – The government has appointed a Central Advisory Board to revise the national minimum wage under the Code on Wages, 2019. The Centre has appointed the 17-member board, chaired by Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, the ministry of labour and employment said in a notification Wednesday.
The board comprises four independent members, which includes Mandaviya, Labour Secretary Vandana Gurnani, and two other officials. The board also includes representatives from state governments, employers' organisations and employees' bodies. End
