MUMBAI – Adani Green Energy Ltd.'s consolidated bottom line for the June quarter saw the slowest year-on-year growth in the last seven quarters--barring the December quarter when it had reported a loss. Adani Green's year-on-year revenue growth was the strongest in the last four quarters, while its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation from power supply hit a quarterly record high on the back of strong growth in its capacity.
Adani Green reported a consolidated net profit of INR 8.45 billion for the June quarter, up almost 19% on year and nearly doubling on quarter. Its revenue from operations saw an uptick of nearly 17% on year and almost 27% on quarter to INR 44.31 billion.
The Adani group firm's consolidated EBITDA from power supply grew 33% on year and 40% on quarter to INR 41.22 billion. "The company delivered robust revenue and EBITDA growth on the back of strong operating performance led by capacity expansion," Adani Green said in a press release. Its EBITDA margin improved to 94%, up from 93% in the year-ago quarter and 91% in the March quarter.
The company's operational capacity improved 27% on year to 20.14 gigawatts, including a greenfield addition of 4.33 gigawatts. During the quarter, Adani Green added capacity of 848 megawatts. During the quarter, Adani Green commissioned battery energy storage system capacity of 1.97 gigawatt-hours, taking its total installed capacity to 3.55 gigawatt-hours. "As power demand in India rebounded during the quarter, our expanding renewable energy portfolio enabled us to reliably meet the nation's growing clean energy requirements while continuing to deliver industry-leading operational performance," Adani Green's Chief Executive Officer Ashish Khanna said in a press release.
Adani Green added greenfield capacity of 4.33 gigawatts during the quarter under review on a year-on-year basis.
