MUMBAI – The Securities and Exchange Board of India Tuesday cancelled registrations of 11 research analysts and firms for failing to pay registration renewal fees. The regulator cancelled registrations for research firms Lakshmishree Investment & Securities Pvt. Ltd., PCS Securities Ltd., and Bansal Finstock Pvt. Ltd, and other individuals.

Some research firms and others opted to have their registrations cancelled after receiving notices from SEBI. Registered research analysts are required pay renewal fees every five years to SEBI. However, the renewal fees for some analysts and research firms were pending since 2020 which resulted in cancellation of their registration. The 11 individuals and firms will continue to be responsible for acts or ommissions committed by them during the validity of their registrations, SEBI said.  End
